Black Dell Inspiron 3000s i3647-1232BLK is a great little desktop with Windows 7 operating system. Dell engineers seem to have fit quite a bit in its slim and compact body, including a powerful processor, a proper full-size DVD drive (not a laptop one) and a good range of connectivity ports.

Dell Inspiron 3000s comes with the Intel Celeron G1820 dual core processor with 2MB level 3 cache at 2.72GHz speed and Intel HD integrated graphics card, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM memory at 1600 Mhz, 500GB eSATA hard drive at 7200RPM rotating speed and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).. It is a fast and decent processor at a satisfactory 2.72 GHz speed and sufficient amount of RAM to be able to run a few tasks at once- play songs, work on your presentation, build your website, open a few tabs on the browser, run Microsoft Word or Excel and everything will still continue running smoothly without delays or freezing.

Hard drive has a regular 500 GB size but is faster than normal at 7200 RPM- most computers in the market will have the standard 5400 RPM. And probably one of the main selling points of this machine is the 64-bit variety of Windows 7 OS- this is one of the few modern computers that comes with Windows 7 and not Windows 8 and we haven't come across many people that actually like the newer Windows 8 or 8.1.

Although a slim and compact machine, Dell Inspiron 3000s doesn't lack any of the necessary connectivity options.. 6 x USB 2.0 ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a full desktop style DVDRW Drive, Bluetooth 4.0, Ethernet 100Base-T 10/100/1000Mbps with an RJ-45 network, 802.11b/g/n wireless, an HDMI port to connect to large screen HDTVs, a 15-pin VGA port to connect to monitors, 1 x Front Headphone, 1 x Front Microphone, 3 x Audio and an 8-in-1 media card reader.

If you're looking for a desktop to save you on space on your desk and in your room, Dell Inspiron 3000s would be the right one with its dimensions of 17.32 x 6.89 x 14.45 inches- quite sleek and compact. It also looks great with its appealing design with a smooth black surface. An optical USB mouse and a USB keyboard are included in the package.

Conclusion: Dell Inspiron 3000s i3647-1232BLK is a beautiful machine with Windows 7 operating system, a powerful processor, adequate system memory, a fast eSATA hard drive and a good variety of connectivity ports at the front and rear. One thing to note that is you can't create a system repair disk and this is probably what we can point out as a con. Other than that, this is a good looking machine with great features and it should last you quite some time with its solid build and good quality components. You also have 1 year limited parts and labor warranty as well as the renowned Dell customer service in case of any problems you may encounter. You get more than what you pay for with the compact Dell Inspiron 3000s.
