Black HP Envy Phoenix 810-160 is a desktop designed for gaming power with its superior NVIDIA graphics card and the powerful 4th generation Intel i7 processor, with the ability to connect to up to three screens, Beats Audio for the best quality immersive sound and more features that make it suitable for home entertainment, multimedia editing and production, programming and other technical stuff, home office use as well as smooth gaming.

HP Envy comes with a Haswell Intel Core i7-4770 (8 MB cache) processor at 3.4 GHz, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 SDRAM memory, 1TB Serial ATA hard drive at 7200rpm, 6G solid-state drive acceleration cache and Windows 8.1 operating system.. These should give you the kind of performance to let you play the latest advanced 3D games at the highest settings (along with the advanced graphics and sound). 1TB of storage is quite a lot of space for all your files and it has the spindle speed of 7200rpm so you have both the size and speed.

50GB of Cloud based storage plus sync from Box comes free for life time to allow you to connect wherever there is internet on whichever device (with an offer valid till the end of 2014). 16GB PC3-12800 DDR3 at 1600MHz means you get to perform your tasks efficiently and smoothly- several open simultaneously. You have the ExpressCache so you get to start your computer from zero and all applications pretty fast. Even though the hard drive and the RAM are already very generous, you can easily reach the hardware and upgrade- if you want SSD or more memory or SATA storage.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 is the graphics card with 4GB DDR3 dedicated memory and up to 122260MB available graphics memory offers super fast graphics processing and great quality for you to enjoy your games and videos on multiple screens too- monitor is not included in the price. We’re talking about playing games like TESO at the highest settings- 50 frames per second. You also have the Beats Audio for the superior loud and clear sound but there is no internal speakers included in the computer and you’ll need to get -preferably- good quality external speakers to make the best of Beats Audio (or the speakers that come with the monitor you purchase).

HP Envy 810-160 Desktop with Beats Audio Review
HP Envy Phoenix weighs 22.1 pounds and has the measurements of 16.88 x 6.86 x 16.29 inches and is designed for powerful gaming: Looks kind of strong and aggressive with glowing accents and a side panel with red light that shows the superior technology of this system. In the box, you get the tower, a USB wireless transmitter and receiver, a wireless chiclet-style keyboard with 10-key numeric keypad, Windows 8 hot keys and volume control, a wireless mouse with two buttons and a scroll wheel, a conversion dongle from DVI (at the back) to VGA.

Connectivity options include Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac featuring dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 2x2 MIMO technology, Bluetooth 4.0 to synchronize to Bluetooth enabled mobile devices wirelessly, 4 x USB 3.0 ports (2 at the top and 2 at the rear), 6 x USB 2.0 ports, SuperMulti DVD drive optical drive, 1 x Audio-out port, HP 15-in-1 Multi-slot Media Card Reader to transfer multimedia. It comes with Windows security package, including Windows Defender antivirus, firewall and a 1 month trial of McAfee security. The liquid cooling system makes sure the powerful internal components stay cool.

Conclusion: HP Envy Phoenix 810-160 is a very powerful computer with a sturdy build, the highest specs, features and the best quality components for superior multitasking, photo and video editing, 3D advanced gaming and doing your daily things quickly and smoothly. Windows 8 may be one thing to be criticised by some users that prefer the older Windows 7 and it has some small design issues such as the microphone and headphone jacks being located at the top but towards the back, this causing burden on the jacks and cables causing them to fail before their due time. The DVD drive button also does not feel very solid. SSD is also reported to be a little hard to reach by one of the customers. But all in all and despite its minor flaws, this is a ‘great value for money’ computer, so highly recommended for the best gaming experience and everything else you do on a computer.
