15.6 inch Touchscreen HP Pavilion 15-n024nr
via Amazon

HP Pavilion 15-n024nr is a mid-range notebook with a touchscreen that runs on Windows 8. It is a computer at a reasonable performance level that can manage anything apart from the newest game titles. If you choose to purchase it, I recommend Amazon as they have really rapid shipping plus less expensive prices in general.

A-Series Quad-Core AMD A6 (2 MB Cache) at 2.0 GHz clock speed processor, 6 GB DDR3L SDRAM memory and 500 GB at 5400 revolutions per minute hard disk.. Operate several programs simultaneously with HP Pavilion 15-n024nr, that has 6GB of RAM intended for greater multitasking. It is a fine cpu designed for everyday computing activities like Word, Excel, internet, chatting on Skype etc.

It doesn't come with the turbo boost function, just like the some more recent processors of Intel. 500GB storage space is enough for the majority of computer owners but I reckon it could be superb by installing a solid state drive.. Nevertheless, larger software programs such as graphic processing will run nicely. The quad cores it has definitely will give you an advantage for multiple-threaded programs. 6GB memory will also be adequate- even less memory can take you interestingly far with Photoshop and the like.

15.6 inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit touchscreen display at 1366 x 768 pixel resolution plus AMD Radeon HD 8400 graphics card with as much as 3053MB memory. The touchscreen is a necessity for Windows 8. Touch is typically not expected on notebooks in this cost range. AMD Radeon HD 8400 is limited for running the most graphics heavy games, however easier games like World of Warcraft will definitely run just fine. You may still handle the newest games at low settings though.

HP Pavilion 15-n024nr Review
Anodized silver and sparkling black HP Pavilion 15-n024nr has HP Imprint finish and micro dot style and features a full keyboard including a 10-key numeric pad to type numbers fast and conveniently. And the keyboard as a whole feels all right to type on. Its 4-cell 41WHr lithium-ion battery will give you about 4 hours and 15 mins of battery life.

It weighs about 5.6 pounds and is under 1 inch thick (more like 0.97 inches). Connection choices include 802.11bgn wireless, 1 x USB 2.0 Port, 2 x USB 3.0 Ports, SuperMulti CD/DVD burner optical drive, 1 x Audio-out Port, Media Card reader to store and share photos and videos and an HDMI port.

Verdict: HP Pavilion 15-n024nr is a good everyday computer that feels solid and reliable. It is a little on the heavier side and runs on Windows 8, which is not the favorite of many. Also the processor is not for the latest games and you need to spend heaps more to get a computer for that purpose. Its noticeable feature is the intuitive touchscreen that works great with Windows 8. Overall, pretty much everybody apart from the extreme game enthusiasts can benefit from this computer and it is not really a bad choice at all. Definitely recommended at the latest Amazon price.
