Silver Toshiba Satellite E55-A5114 is a mid-range15.6 inch laptop computer with beautiful design, durable build, Full HD screen- really good image quality, high level performance with its Haswell Intel i5 processor, large amounts of hard drive storage and memory mainly for your non-advanced gaming needs but a very capable and fast performer in different tasks and still many lighter games too.

The E55-A5114 comes with the super low voltage but powerful 4th generation Intel Core i5-4200U dual core and four way processing mobile processor at 1.6 GHz speed but goes up to 2.6 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology depending on what you’re working on, high bandwidth 6GB memory for being able to run multiple applications simultaneously with ease and confidence, 750GB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400 rpm rotating speed as good amount of space for storage for your videos, songs, photos and common files and the most recent version of Windows: 8.1 with added useful features, the ability to personalise your Start screen or just use the screen that is similar to Windows 7’s opening screen for familiarity factor.

15.6 inch TruBrite Full HD LED backlit display with 1920 x 1080 maximum resolution (supporting 1080 pixel image) and mobile Intel HD Graphics with shared memory with the CPU offers very clear picture with impressive colours when you’re surfing the net, watching videos editing photos and playing lighter games but not suitable for 3D gaming. There is no DVD drive on this model (which obviously make the laptop thinner and lighter and more portable) but a very fast wireless, the Next-Gen Intel Wireless-AC connectivity, 2 x USB 3.0 ports (one with sleep and charge function), 1 x USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0 interface, Gigabit Ethernet LAN port with RJ-45, Microphone-in and headphone-out combo jack, an HDMI port and a Media Card Reader that supports 6 formats.

Conclusion: Toshiba Satellite E55-A5114 is a modern and smart looking slim and lightweight notebook that is both easy on the eyes and a powerful performer with great features. Like any computer, it has flaws but these are very small as compared to all that it is offering: Windows 8 is not for everyone and this is not a touchscreen laptop although its touchpad is great for using on Windows 8 screen, it doesn’t come with a DVD drive but then this contributes to this laptops’s slim and lightweight factor and the battery will not last that long in very heavy usage. Otherwise, great sound, great picture quality, very user-friendly and ergonomic backlit keyboard with separate numpad, 1 year free subscription to Norton AntiVirus, a great range of connectivity ports including a very fast wireless connection, Dragon voice recognition feature and more.. It is a beautiful laptop at a fair price (you do get more than what you pay for here) that is not so much for advanced games at high settings but good for school, work and entertainment overall.
